Hi Guys and Gals.
This website is dedicated to Musicians, to whom the fate of his music gear is not indifferent.
You know, that mostly people, especially sellers, try to hide serial numbers - on auctions, e-stores or just on photos and often such behavior is not favoured. We want to change this, cause "Caution is the parent of safety.".
The idea to create KeepGear.com was born at time, when our good friend lost almost all of his music stuff (instruments, amps, etc) in the result of home robbery. Unfortunately he didn't registered his music gear nowhere, didn't have photos of it nor the serial numbers (and even didn't remember it), which complicated search and identification of lost music gear.

Inspired by this sad story we wanted to make such website, where everyone can "image" his instruments and gear, similar to making an image of PC hard drive which helps to restore on crashes - by registering it here, adding some pics and basic info.

Also during selling Your gear You may quote the link to KeepGear showing that the stuff You sell is absolutely legal.Whenever You want to buy something - check here out the legal state of instrument or any other gear, find items with special beloved numbers, etc.
Mainly KeepGear is database and archive of music gear, but we know how nice is to have a chat or discuss something on forum, exchange opinions and give a review on gear, that's why we added some "social" features. We will be happy, if You will use it and like it - create a community which will support You and spend with You time well!
